On Monday, December 21, 2020, in accordance with Governor Ned Lamont's Executive Order 9R, Town Manager Robert Geiger informed the Board of Selectmen that the Low Interest Rate Program to provide collection relief to the Town's taxpayers and water and sewer customers implemented last spring would continue for the three months beginning January 1, 20201. This program applies to the January installment of real estate taxes, personal property taxes, supplemental motor vehicle taxes, and the February 1, 2021 water and sewer bills.
Property Tax payments remitted by escrow agents are not eligible for the Low Interest Rate Program. These payments will continue to be subject to 1.5% per month interest from the due date if not timely made.
