Home of the Winchester Historical Society. Built in 1813 by Solomon Rockwell, one of the early industrialists of Winchester. Grandfather to Mary P. Hinsdale the last living resident at the home. Ten rooms filled with articles of the period including a Civil War Room and a Carriage House displaying products that were made in Winsted dating back to late 1700 early 1800. Located at 225 Prospect St., Winsted, Connecticut.
Open to the public with no admission fee.
