On Saturday December 18th, please come celebrate the Holiday Season with the Town of Winsted & the Winsted Fire Department for our 17th Annual Gator Parade. Since deciding the Gator Gangi Holiday Parade would become an annual event in the Town of Winchester, the parade has continued to grow in popularity with more of our surrounding towns participating each year. We festively decorate Town trucks, fire apparatus and EMS with strands of lights and other decorations and drive through a predetermined route within the city’s limits. Many participants in the parade toss candy and other treats to the children and adults who come out of their homes to view the spectacle. We receive a tremendous amount of support and positive feedback from the participants and spectators. Line-up is on Meadow Street @ 4:30p.m. facing east. The Parade begins at 5:00p.m. The Gator Parade is open to any Fire, EMS and municipal vehicles. Vehicle must be decorated to participate. Please notify us ASAP of your intentions to enter a vehicle. We look forward to having many participants making for another great parade.
