The Winsted Water Works will conduct the annual water main flushing program in sections of Winsted starting Monday, April 4, 2022. The first areas to be flushed will be West Wakefield Boulevard, Woodland Avenue, Laurel Street, Cook Street, John Street, Hubbard Street, Lake Street and Boyd Street. The purpose of the water main flushing is for routine maintenance.
Water main flushing will take place between the hours of 7 AM to 3:30PM. Please note the flushing process may cause discolored water and reduction in pressure. The discoloration of water will be temporary. If the condition persists, please contact the Department of Public Works at (860) 379-4101.
