November is National Environmental Awareness Month!  Did you know the Town of Winchester has added two new Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations downtown at the former Bank of America building at the corner of Center and Elm Streets? These charging stations are available for public use 24 hours per day/7 days per week.  The stations are located on the southerly side of the parcel, which is accessible via Center Street.

Electric Vehicles are an important way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and local air pollution.  Expanding our public electric vehicle charging network supports residents who choose to own or lease a personal electric vehicle.  These stations will help improve equitable access to electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

These two town-owned EV charging stations are part of a network of EV charging stations that include two at the new Hartford HealthCare Health Center at 80 South Main Street.  Additional EV charging stations are slated to be installed at the Ledgebrook Shopping Plaza at 200 New Hartford Road.
