The oldest pet parade in the nation is scheduled for Saturday, May 21st at 2PM, with marchers traveling in Winsted down Main Street to East End Park.  The Winsted Rotary Club 84th Annual Pet Parade features thirteen parade divisions, four marching bands, Rotary and local dignitaries, as well the current Laurel Queen and King, Pet Parade poster winner and Honorary Parade Marshal.  The Rotary Club is particularly excited about this year's parade as new divisions are being added along with exciting prizes.

Children from Winsted, Torrington, Norfolk, New Hartford, Barkhamsted and Colebrook are invited to participate. The Rotary Club is reminding families that all poster boards have been delivered to area schools along with instructions on entering the annual poster conference. Please encourage children to see their teacher for instructions and remember the deadline for submission is April 25th.  Please reach out to parade organizers through their Facebook page, via Messenger, with any questions.

In the words of a long time and honored Rotarian..."REMEMBER, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS."
