The Department of Public Works has announced an upcoming planned detour for travelers on Pratt Street as the culvert replacement is expected to start tomorrow. Beginning September 14th and continuing through Friday, September 17th, traffic on Pratt Street will be detoured as Eversource relocates the gas line in that area ahead of the planned construction. Please note the road will reopen at the end of each workday to allow for local travel. The culvert replacement will begin on Monday, September 20th and traffic from Pratt Street, stemming from the Upson Avenue intersection to the Lovely Street intersection, will be subject to the detour.
The Department of Public Works has also advised that this work is very weather dependent as it will be undertaken on a flowing brook. Please note that all houses in the designated construction zone will remain accessible to Police, Fire, and EMS.
