The Town of Winchester Water & Sewer Commission is considering a sewer rate increase to fund sewer system infrastructure improvements, preventive maintenance, and increased operating costs. This proposed rate increase is the first one since 2017. Rates proposed to increase include:
- Quarterly Meter Base Rate
- Quarterly Meter Usage Fee
- Quarterly Fixture Base Rate
- Quarterly Fixture Fee
- Quarterly Low-Pressure Grinder Pump Maintenance Fee

A public hearing on the proposed Sewer Rate Increase has been scheduled for Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 7PM at Town Hall, 338 Main Street, 2nd Floor, P. Francis Hicks Room, Winsted.
