The Winsted Water Works will continue the water main flushing program in sections of Winsted Tuesday, May 12, 2026, weather permitting.
The areas to be flushed will be North Main St, Horne Ave, Brook St and adjacent areas.
The purpose of the water main flushing is for routine maintenance.
Water main flushing will take place between 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. The discoloration of water will be temporary. If the condition persists, please contact the Water Department at 379-4101.
