Winsted Water Works is advising water users of a planned water main flushing affecting several streets north of North Main Street scheduled for Tuesday, October 19, 2021 between 9AM and 2:30PM. An 8" water main was recenting installed on Berg Street, which connects Stanton Avenue to Waldron Street. The goal of that replacement was to enhance water flow from Stanton Avenue to Waldron Street, where water supply is of good quantity, to areas north of there.
Winsted Water Works is requesting their users located on the following streets refrain from water use as much as possible on Tuesday, October 19th:
- Benton Street
- Royer Street
- Hicks Street
- Waldron Street Area
Following the flushing and beginning at 3PM, residents in this area should run cold water for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, until discoloration dissipates.
