 Please Note: Sticker required for household trash.  However no sticker required for RESIDENTS from Barkhamsted, New Hartford, and/or Winsted/Winchester for recyclables**.  

Electronics Recycling: Residents (not businesses) with RRDD1 stickers (or a day pass) may drop off their unwanted electronics year-round at RRDD1 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday’s between the hours of 7AM-3PM, as well as Wednesday evenings 4PM-7PM, free of charge.  Local residents (not businesses) without RRDD1 stickers may drop off their unwanted electronics ONLY on Wednesday evenings between 4PM-7PM.  In this case, you may be asked to show local identification.  Additionally, the same is true for household fluorescent bulbs, oil and latex house paint (limit 10), and mattresses/box springs (limit 6).  However, the mattress/box must be relatively clean, dry, uncut, unbroken and free of mold or mildew or animal odors; if found to have any or all of these conditions, residents will be assessed a $20 fee for each unit.  Again, please have local identification.
